Rebecca Wang
is a senior at UPenn! She's been dancing since she was six years old and her love for dance and expression through movement has continued to grow since then. Rebecca has spent countless hours in the studio training and has also accumulated a good amount of experience teaching younger kids dance at her studio. Rebecca has also always been passionate about being involved in her community. One day a couple of months ago, Rebecca was surfing the web on some downtime. She came across a story about a child with autism. This story inspired Rebecca to do something to help the children with autism in her own community. After continued research on autism over the next few weeks, Rebecca ultimately came up with an idea that managed to combine two things she loves: dance and making an impact in her community. After teaming up with Fiona, they have been able to bring Rebecca's idea to life—creating a dance and movement therapy class for children with autism! Dance has always had a special place in Rebecca's heart, and she feels extremely blessed to have the opportunity to use her talents to change the lives of others in her community.
Fiona Shangguan
is a junior at MIT! Throughout the years, her love for dance has continued to grow tremendously as she was allowed many opportunities to learn and experience the art. From the desire of mastering challenging steps, or even just executing the detailed movements, dance has always presented a friendly source of motivation. In addition, she believes that the feeling of serenity in connecting with and getting lost in the music really helps with bringing out her self-expression. Some of her most valued memories have been formed from her dance experiences, and she hopes to spread the joy and serenity she feels when dancing for others to experience as well. She also loves to provide for children, who always prove to be so invitingly passionate and energetic. In fact, she dreams of becoming a pediatrician one day. She aspires to pass her knowledge of dance to future generations, hopefully creating a lasting experience for them to pursue throughout their lives. She truly appreciates how dance is always there as a way to lift her spirits, and she cannot wait to dance with the students!

Instructors
Naya Heider

Naya Heider is a sophomore at Greenhills. She took a ballet class when she was about 4 years old, and later rediscovered my love for dance in 3rd grade. She has been dancing for 7 years so far. She started off doing ballet and tap, and now have continued ballet along with lyrical and jazz. She dances competitively at Dancer's Edge in Dexter, Michigan. She loves dance because it's an amazing way to express yourself on stage and be able to be creative in your own way. She has learned commitment and hard work, but she has also met what are now some of her best and closest friends. She enjoys the competition team and family vibes, and love to dance alongside her friends.
